The leadership and talent contained on the field proved too much for all competitors as Cal reigned supreme. This win in Omaha marked another legendary win for one of the great college baseball programs in the country.

Because of the Golden Bears win, the luster of the program continues into what promises to be a bright future. With Esquer returning, the expertise in the dugout will help produce a winning program for many years. The Cal team illustrated a great deal of heart and fight to defeat Texas A&M 7-3 in the championship game. After this win, the team rushed the field to celebrate a huge win in the program’s history. As the players celebrated in jubilation, the fans cheered wildly in the crowd. It was an amazing moment from fans and players of Cal baseball. If this season taugh Cal fans anything, it is that a program with talent and heart can withstand any challenge. This is particularly true when guided by the amazing David Esquer.
